Colin Community Development Officer
Salary £26,657
The Colin Neighbourhood Partnership is responsible for the long term regeneration of the Colin Area. The Partnership is gaining strong momentum and is delivering improvement across the Colin area through six active subgroups with over 120 people actively involved in the regeneration of the Colin Area.
The Partnership has developed an innovative theme based community development model that gives many more people the opportunity to become actively involved in improving the daily lives of the people of the Colin Area.
The Partnership employ a community development team with thematic focus on:

Community Safety
·
Youth and Education
·
Family Support
Currently there is a vacancy on the theme of Family Support.
Candidates must have gained Diploma/Degree in Community Development, Education, Social Work, Youth & Community work, or equivalent. Candidates must also have at least three years experience in a community development role where they have made a significant contribution. The ability to work to clearly defined targets and outputs is essential.
The success and sustainability of this role will depend on the achievement of clear performance measures and the ability to establish immediate credibility within the community. It is therefore imperative that candidates can clearly demonstrate a strong track record of delivery in their career to date together with excellent communication skills, team working ability, research experience and the capability to manage a range of projects to tight timeframes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented, enthusiastic and committed individual to make a significant impact across the Colin Area. This position is currently funded until 31st March 2011 March.
