Community groups in the Colin area recently met to discuss the financial constraints on many families and individuals due to the current cost of living crisis.
We are aware that many people in the area are struggling this year and the situation does not look like it is going to improve anytime soon. We in the community sector are hearing extremely worrying testimonies about how people are struggling to pay for gas, electricity, and food.
As a result, we have decided to put out an appeal for donations of non-perishable food items and as we are so close to Christmas, we are also appealing for gifts of toys to ensure every child receives a gift from Santa on Christmas morning. We can only accept new items.
If you can afford to donate to help those struggling, all donations, no matter how small will be greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at the following centres on the days and times specified below.
