The Colin Early Parenting Programme is a partnership between Colin Neighbourhood Partnership and the SE Health & Social Care Trust.
The Programme works to deliver a range of support to young mothers, babies and vulnerable families throughout the Colin area, including indoor and outdoor group activities and individualised family support delivered in the home. This small and focused team comprises one Health Visitor and two Early Intervention Support Workers and works closely with other community groups and health professionals. We are now seeking to recruit an Early Intervention Support Worker (EISW) to the programme, who will be based in the Stewartstown Road Health Centre and will be line-managed by the project’s Health Visitor.
Essential criteria for this post include a minimum of NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care/Childcare qualification or equivalent, at least two years experience of direct work with vulnerable families, and demonstrable experience of working with challenging behaviours in young children. Experience of delivering manualised programmes (such as Incredible Years, Mellow Bumps etc.) is desirable. A full driving licence and access to your own transport is required.
A completed application form and a monitoring form should be returned by email or post to bernadette@newcolin.com or to Bernie Duffy at Colin Neighbourhood Partnership, Cloona House, 31 Colin Road, Belfast, BT17 0LG. No applications received after the deadline of 2.00 pm on Thursday 15th June will be considered.
